Today I’m at the Elara Estate in Marsden Park to check out the Livingstone 22, Eden Brae Homes most popular single-storey design.

But why is this single-storey home so popular? For me, it’s always about great design, but for this particular home, it’s the way it is zoned.

Located at the front of the home is a generously sized master bedroom, with a walk-in robe and a well-proportioned en-suite: the parents’ zone.

Separating the parents’ zone from the rest of the home is a great home theatre area, or if you like, a second living room. Located in the centre of the home are the other three very generously sized bedrooms, all with walk-in robes. These are located around the family bathroom and that all-important separate toilet: this is the family zone.

As we flow down the hallway we enter the heart of the home: and that is the living zone, with a beautiful open-plan living, kitchen and dining area.
