While you do not need to bring anything specific to your display home tour, you may find that taking a few items along will help improve your experience.

Many of these items will help you make accurate observations during your inspection, such as:

• A notebook and pen to write down personal thoughts and measurements
• A tape measure to measure spaces for furniture or other belongings
• A copy of the floor plan to write notes directly onto
• Paint, carpet or tile swatches to visualise how a room will look with your chosen finish

It can also be helpful to bring a trusted friend or family member to provide a different opinion on the home. Of course, if you choose a virtual home tour, you and your family can view the layout of our display homes at the click of a button.

While they are closed on public holidays, Eden Brae’s display villages are open from 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week. However, our virtual display houses never close, allowing you to experience as many home designs as you would like to from the comfort of your favourite chair. Virtual house tours are the perfect inspection solution for public holidays, weekends and after-hours.

There are a number of things to take into consideration when choosing a display home to purchase. The design and layout should fit the needs of you and your family. Not only does this involve checking if the room sizes are adequate enough for your household, it also includes finding any navigational or logistical issues with the floor plan and its flow through the house.

Another important consideration is how much space the house will take up on your block of land. If you have already chosen and/or already own your block, you can start to visualise the amount of space you will have left over for gardens and yards.

The price is another critical factor in your decision. However, you should not base this figure on the listed cost on a home builder’s website. Instead, consider any changes and extras you wish to add to the basic home design, and add all these figures up to approximate a final price for your new home.
